About NordicExpat

NordicExpat was built by someone who moved to Denmark and immediately ran into the same problem every expat faces: the official information is buried in Danish government websites, and the English-language resources online are either out of date, vague, or written by people who have never actually been through the process.

So we built the guide we wished existed. Every article starts with the process as it actually works — what you walk into, what forms you fill out, what to expect from Borgerservice, what surprises come up. We supplement that with verified information from official sources (borger.dk, skat.dk, nyidanmark.dk) and link to them directly so you can check for yourself.

How we keep guides accurate

Danish regulations change. Tax rules are updated. Processing times shift. We track each article's "last verified" date and review guides when official sources change. If you spot something out of date, email us — we update quickly.
