How to Get MitID in Denmark: Step by Step

Step 1: Get a Danish SIM Card First

Before you do anything else, get a Danish SIM card. You can buy a prepaid SIM from Lebara, Lycamobile, CBB Mobil, or Telmore at most supermarkets and convenience stores for under DKK 100. Step 2: Go to mitid.dk

Open mitid.dk in a browser and select "Get MitID" (or "Bestil MitID" in Danish). Choose the option for new users.

Step 3: Enter Your CPR Number and Phone Number

The system will ask for your CPR number and your Danish mobile number. An SMS code is sent to verify the phone number.
